What We Do
Since its origin in 1971, Community Emergency Service (CES) has provided crisis response service to people with emergency and ongoing needs. In each “crisis interview,” CES attempts to go beyond stated needs in order to discover and help resolve underlying causes which may be contributing to the crisis. Over 55,000 individuals and families have been coming through the door annually in recent years. Currently, emergency aid is primarily offered in the areas of food, housing, transportation and utilities.
