Storm Food—CES helps Tornado Victims

North Minneapolis and the north-western suburbs were devastated by storms on Sunday, May 22nd. The day after the storm, Director Mark Peterson called
Pastor LeeAnn Pomrenke at River of Life Lutheran Church on Freemont and 22nd Avenue North, and heard that people were already at the Church door asking for food. CES staff loaded the truck with quilts, blankets and easy to prepare food items, and delivered them to River of Life and Family Baptist Churches that evening. Over 200 residents were served. We were happy to extend CES’s warm hand of service to our neighbors in need. Director Peterson told the pastors, “We are
here for you for the long haul. When you need what CES has to offer, tomorrow
or a month from now, call us.”
