Please pray for an increase in cash donations. As needs for our core services increase, our donations are dropping over last year.

Give praise for funding that will pay for the new modular refrigerator/freezer until that will be installed soon.

For additional volunteers to drive for Meals On Wheels. Many are being lost to corporate lay offs that are a result of the touch economy. Weekly, every other week or even once per month routes are available"

Power of Prayer

According to Minneapolis Aquatennial Festival trivia, the Target fireworks show used more than 10,000 pounds of explosives and 45 miles of wire to light up the sky. It truly is a spectacular display of power.

On a recent Friday morning, the CES staff prayed specifically that one person that day would release their burdens and troubles to the Lord and receive forgiveness. With the busyness of Friday, Produce Day, the prayer was far from my mind until a volunteer interviewer came up to me with a smile on his face declaring that a woman had just received the joy of forgiveness from a troubled heart.

What a joy it was to give God praise, as this woman heard she was the person we had praying for earlier in the day. The display of God's love by the answered prayer spoke volumes to her about the importance of her life.

Though this event did not light up the night sky with a colorful display, I know 10,000 angels were rejoicing in Heaven.
