Commitment Card

posted Dec 7, 2011 11:52 AM by Richard Sahara

You’ve probably experienced “Stewardship Sundays” in your congregation, where people put pledge cards in offering plates and thereby promise to donate their time, talents and treasures in the coming year. This year, CES is asking you to do that for us as well.  We hope you’ll consider filling out and returning the Commitment Card you’ll find by downloading the file below. Thank you!

Building Project

posted Oct 15, 2009 8:02 AM by Richard Sahara   [ updated May 2, 2011 5:20 PM ]

Dear Friend of CES,

 We have a message to deliver to all who come to our

door:  You are welcome here, you belong here and we

want to help you move toward a future full of hope,

security and fulfillment.

As a supporter of CES and CES Meals on Wheels, you are receiving this letter with a thank you and a request.  We are in the midst of updating our facility in order to:

 v  bring the building into compliance with the American Disabilities Act by adding an elevator and accessible restrooms;

v  enable fresh food distribution to CES clients, and frozen meal delivery to selected MOW clients, by installing a 2080 cubic foot refrigerator/freezer;

v  centralize food storage by creating a 2500 square foot warehouse on the lower level;

v  make office and work space more comfortable for clients, volunteers and staff by installing central heating and air conditioning;

v  make the building safer by installing new wiring, phones and a fire/security alarm system;

v  give the building a fresh look by installing new flooring and painting walls and ceilings – everywhere!

 In short, this update will enable us to focus more on clients, and less on holding our ninety-year-old building together.

 Many have given of their time and resources in support of this project, above and beyond normal giving.  We have saved thousands of dollars because of countless hours of donated time and truckloads of donated materials. For this we are blessed and we THANK YOU for your generosity and your caring spirit.

 Now, we are two-thirds of the way toward meeting our goal of paying for the renovation. We have raised $494,000 of a total anticipated cost of $660,000. This means we have $166,000 to go.  Will you contribute $25, $50, $1000 or $5,000 to bring this project to completion?  We hope and pray you will give an additional gift to help us meet our goal.

We are in the midst of the SUMMER MATCH PROGRAM (a CES Board Member has offered to match your gift to the construction project up to $65,000) – so please·

·         go to www.cesmn.org and click on the “Donate” link to give on-line.

Thank you for your contributions, prayers and support – past, present and future! May God bless and keep us all.

Sincerely,

Mark Peterson                                      Herman Saul
